FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What do I wear?
Anything comfortable that allows you freedom of movement. Many people choose to wear yoga pants, but sweats or any pants you are comfortable in and that do not restrict your movement are fine.
Do I need to bring my own mat/equipment?
While you can bring your own equipment if you choose, we will lend you a mat and any other equipment you may need. You will need to bring your own towel if you want one.
How hot is Hot Yoga?
We keep the room around 90-100 degrees for our hot yoga classes. While hot lite is a little more accessible, these classes are more intense and you should make sure you are well hydrated and in good physical shape before you sign up. You will get sweaty, bring a towel or two!
What if I’m not flexible?
You don’t have to be flexible to practice yoga. In yoga, you will stretch to the maximum of your ability, without harming the body. Over time, your flexibility will naturally increase. There are many people who practice yoga joyfully and do not touch their toes!
Can this type of yoga help me if I have old injuries and are there any modifications that can be made?
Let the teacher know about any injury you may have so that he/she can make any necessary adjustments for you. Any amount of yoga you do will be beneficial – the worst thing a body can do is nothing at all.
Should I eat anything before class?
You should not eat anything for two hours before class.
How often do I have to come to class to receive the benefits?
The more you practice, the quicker you will see results and the longer they will last. It’s that simple.
